Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator Review (was Gemini) (2025)

Welcome to my second Rocks Off sex toy review this month! If you missed the first, head over to my RO Palm Silicone Penis Masturbator review. Thanks so much to the Rocks Off team for sending these brand-new products to me, free of charge, in exchange for my honest reviews here at the Cara Sutra sex blog. Today I’m sharing my thoughts on a new C-shaped, dual stim sex toy to join the RO family: the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator, which I have in purple. It’s worth noting that this product was previously named Rocks Off Gemini before a recent name change, which you can read more about in this adult industry news article. Let’s get started!

How It Feels

I’ve been a fan of Rocks Off vibrators for over a decade, so I was excited to try this new addition to the collection. I’m a big fan of their iconic RO-80 bullet vibe, which is easy to use, powerful and so versatile. I had high hopes for the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator; the idea of simultaneous internal and external/clitoral stim had me impatient to get started.

Before I could get going, I made sure the Rocks Off Variety was fully charged up – nothing worse than running out of power mid-session – and gave it a quick wash to remove any manufacturing residue and fluff. A quick read of the instruction leaflet and press of the buttons to figure out how to operate it before it was in situ. I added a little water-based lube to ease insertion, and slid the angled-tip, internal arm inside.

First impressions? It felt fine. The internal part is quite slim, with a maximum girth around the bulbous tip of just 3.25 inches. A refreshing change from all the massive dildos I’ve been testing recently! Even during this early stage, something didn’t feel quite right about how the external arm was moving and sitting, while I tried to ensure the internal portion was in the right position and comfortable.

Similar dual stimulation vibrators I’ve tried in the past have been C-shaped – you slide them in, and the inner and outer parts curve in an attempt to make contact with and stimulate the clitoris and vaginal G-spot simultaneously. The Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator has a slightly different shape, however. Instead of a C-shaped curve. It’s more of a rigid angle, with the point of convergence between the two arms forming a sharp-ish corner. For me, this design just didn’t work. No matter how I adjusted the vibrator, the internal and external parts, I couldn’t get both parts to sit against the right bits of my anatomy at once. The internal shaft was fine on its own, the clitoral arm would have been ok on its own, but together they didn’t feel in the correct comfortable and effective positions.

Sadly, the shape issue wasn’t the only disappointment with the Rocks Off Variety. My second and main issue is the vibration style and power. Rather than the motors being located in the tips of both arms, where they can deliver the bulk power of the vibration exactly where required, they are mid-way down the arms instead. The vibration has to travel through the rest of the silicone – and in the case of the internal arm, fight against the natural muffling of the tight vaginal walls – to reach the G-spot and clitoris.

This wouldn’t have been so much of an issue if the vibrations were incredibly powerful, but unfortunately, they are nowhere near powerful enough for me personally. It’s more of a gentle, pleasant, but ultimately far short of powerful enough hum. I don’t mind a gentler internal vibrating stimulation, but for clitoral stim which leads to orgasm, I need vibes to be packing way more heat. In my video further down this review, you will see where I compare the vibrations from the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator to those from a clitoral vibrator I can orgasm easily, quickly and reliably from. RO Variety can sit on its box at full power and there’s barely any noticeable effect. I touch the box lightly with the pink vibrator in my existing collection, and it tries to fly out of shot.

Despite the disappointing vibration performance and uncomfy-for-me shape, I can see the potential of the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator for someone else. Someone whose anatomy means this design is comfortable and both areas sit in the correct place for them, and someone who doesn’t like their vibrators to give out too much power. Some people are more sensitive than me after all, and others may like more of a teasing route to the peak of pleasure.

There are loads of things to admire about the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator – it’s waterproof, rechargeable with a magnetic/USB lead which stays put during charging, it has 10 functions, it’s quiet during use and it’s covered with body-safe, non-porous silicone. From a practical point of view, and on paper, it’s great.

Sadly, a vibrator can tick all the right boxes on paper but fail to deliver in the one area that matters: delivering an orgasm. That critical component is where the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator falls short for me personally, although your mileage may vary. It’s called Variety, after all. And we’re all very, very different.

I really wanted to love this vibrator, and maybe for people with different sensitivity levels or body shapes, it’ll be a hit. But for me? It’s not one I’ll be reaching for again. I need power, precision, and design that aligns with how my body works – and sadly, the Rocks Off Variety missed the mark.

Rocks Off Variety Dual Stim Vibrator Video

Enjoy my short video below showcasing the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stim Vibrator, from packaging and unboxing through to operation and some of its vibrating settings. In the video I compare the vibrations to those of a vibrator I reliably orgasm with every time – you can see the clear difference in vibration type and power.

Summary

The Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator promised simultaneous internal (vaginal and G-spot) and external (clitoris) stimulation which would lead to a wonderfully intense, blended orgasm. Or at least, a clitoral orgasm for me, as I don’t tend to orgasm via vaginal stimulation despite enjoying it very much. While the Variety has loads of plus points going for it, including body-safe materials, 10 functions and being fully waterproof, the ability to give me an orgasm is sadly not up there. The shape of the vibrator doesn’t sit well in and on my personal anatomy and the vibrating power is underwhelming and falls far short of what I personally need to get me en route to an orgasm.

Each of the parts separately seems well designed; the vaginal arm is comfortably slim with an angled tip, and the external part is chunky and has well placed, easy to locate and use buttons. I just couldn’t get both parts to pleasure me as I felt they should, and how I needed them to, leaving me feeling frustrated and unimpressed rather than basking in the glow of a satisfying dual stim orgasm.

The Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator is a well-made, good looking and cleverly designed sex toy, but it just didn’t work for my anatomy and my vibrating power needs.

Pros
  • Body-safe silicone with a soft, velvety texture
  • Fully waterproof for easy cleaning and bath/shower use
  • Rechargeable with 10 vibration functions
  • Discreet size and sleek appearance
  • Slim internal arm offers a comfortable fit
Cons
  • Angled design didn’t align properly with clit and G-spot at the same time
  • Motors are not in the tips, reducing vibration intensity where it’s needed
  • Clitoral arm lacks the power required for strong external stimulation
  • Not suitable for those who prefer intense vibrations or need precise targeting
  • May not suit all anatomies due to its angled shape

General Info & Specs

I have the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stim Vibrator in Purple/Burgundy colour. As far as I’m aware, it isn’t available in any other colour at present. The RO Variety (previously known as Gemini) is waterproof to IPX7 rating, which means it is submersible in water to a maximum depth of 1-metre, for up to 30 minutes. This makes it hassle-free to clean thoroughly between uses, as well as making it possible to enjoy the vibrator in the bath or shower.

Rocks Off Variety is covered in body-safe silicone, and weighs 254g. 10 vibrating functions are operated via the two buttons on the external arm.

Packaging & Unboxing

My Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator arrived in a plain brown outer box for the post, with no mention of vibrators or sex toys on the outer label.

I really appreciate the inclusion of cardboard protecting the product boxes. So many companies don’t do this, and I end up with packaging with a scissor or knife line down the box from where I’ve opened the parcel.

Inside the Box

Inside the modern design, sleek black outer box with front window to view the C-shaped vibrator, you find a moulded black plastic insert. This holds the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator. Underneath there is the magnetic/USB charging lead and the tri-fold instruction leaflet.

No storage pouch is provided with the toy, which is a bit of a shame as the packaging doesn’t really lend itself well to doubling as ongoing storage.

Size & Measurements

As this is a dual stimulation toy, there are several areas I can provide measurements for.

Angled tip, internal shaft: 5 inch total length, 3.5 inch insertable length, 3.25 inch maximum circumference

Wider, external/clitoral stimulating arm: 4.5 inch total length, 4.25 inch maximum circumference

How to Charge Up your RO Variety

It’s easy to charge up the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator with the included magnetic/USB charging lead. Just attach the magnetic end to the two metal nodes for it on the end of the external arm, then insert the other end into a USB port of your choice. I like to use the USB port on the side of my laptop in my home office, or the multi-USB to mains plug at the side of my bed. These are extremely useful and I strongly recommend everyone has at least one. You can buy them cheaply from Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.

This vibrator is slightly different to most of my other sex toys when it comes to the lit-up LED while charging. Usually, the LED blinks while charging and emits a steady glow when fully charged. It’s the other way round with the Rocks Off Variety; a steady glow while charging then it blinks when it’s fully charged up. It takes about an 1.5 hours to charge fully from zero, and a full charge provides up to 1.5 hours playtime

Although the Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator has the Rocks Off branding on the end of the lead, it could still be helpful to label the wire when you receive the product. This is because you might have more than one Rocks Off rechargeable vibrator with this style of charging lead. It really helps me to have clearly labelled sex toy leads so I know which one to grab when charging time comes around for any of my sex toys.

I use my trusty DYMO labeller which is available from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk for all my sex toy charging leads – and it has plenty of other uses around the house, too.

Instructions

A glossy and attractively designed tri-fold instruction leaflet is included with the Rocks Off Variety. Click the images below to enlarge, then use arrow keys to scroll between. My instruction leaflet is from the initial branding before the name change, so refers to Gemini instead of Variety, but it’s the same product. Like the Rocks Off Palm, the instruction leaflet for Variety has a typo (GEMANI which I guess is irrelevant since the recent name change) – oops!

Operation & Controls

The Rocks Off Variety Dual Stimulation Vibrator is operated via the two buttons on the external arm of the toy, above the debossed Rocks Off logo. The buttons are on a slightly raised area and feature debossed symbols which make them easier to locate with fingertips during use.

To switch on, press and hold either button. this puts the vibrator into standby mode. Both buttons will flash.

Switch on then scroll through the settings of the external arm by pressing the button nearest the end of the arm. The vibrations through the internal shaft are operated via the other button.

Both motors can be operated independently, so you can choose whichever of the 10 available functions through each of the arms that you desire.

Afterward, switch the toy off by pressing and holding a button. You may have to do this twice as the first time puts the toy back into standby mode. Ensure both lights have gone out, then the vibrator will be properly off.
