Custom-made looks mingle with vintage accessories and luxury jewels sourced from eBay.

While one may not immediately associate high fashion with eBay, the Met Gala is a reminder that the two can, in fact, seamlessly go hand in hand. From Law Roach to Emma Chamberlain, 2025 attendees were seen pairing their on-theme looks with pre-loved jewelry and accessories.
“I’m here with Burberry but all of my accessories were sourced on eBay,” says the stylist to the stars. “I have this amazing Cartier piece, my brooches are Tiffany… eBay is such a place to find treasures.”

The self-proclaimed “obsessive eBay shopper” isn’t the only famous face sporting the e-commerce site’s inventory on the blue carpet. Chamberlain paired her Courrèges ensemble with jewelry from the e-tailer: “I’ve been shopping vintage for years [and] it’s always been a dream to vintage shop for my Met look,” she tells Vogue.

At last year’s Met Gala, Madelyn Cline wore a Tommy Hilfiger clutch from eBay that the designer upcycled with fabric from the actress’s gown, along with two tennis necklaces and drop earrings, also sourced from eBay. Red carpet host La La Anthony dazzled in vintage accessories from the online retailer as well.
As an official sponsor of the star-studded fundraiser since 2024, eBay has certainly made its presence known, but there are loads more luxury resale sites and online consignment stores offering authenticated, pre-owned designer pieces at a fraction of retail price. Favorites include Fashionphile, Rebag at Walmart, The Luxury Closet, Fwrd Renew and The RealReal, in addition to pre-loved fine jewelry from Bloomingdale’s and Farfetch.
