This completes the questline. But after this, Gurranq will appear again towards the end of the game in the Crumbling Farum Azula. You will have to fight him during the first phase of Maliketh, The Black Blade. This is not an optional boss and is unmissable. If you have given all the 9 Deathroots to Gurransq, then you will get a few extra dialogues here.
At the Bestial Sanctum in Dragonbarrow, you'll meet Gurranq, Beast Clergyman. In exchange for each deathroot you give him, he'll reward you with a seal and several bestial incantations, along with other beast-themed rewards.
Once all nine Deathroot have been given to him, he will tell the player that, despite their hard work, his hunger is still not satiated and that he will go on hunt them down alone. He will then vanish, giving the player an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
If you have at least one Deathroot, Gurranq will give you a Clawmark Seal and Beast Eye. The Beast Eye will notify you whenever you are close to another Deathroot. Hand over each Deathroot you find to Gurranq in exchange for rewards. After you have given him four Deathroot, reload the area and Gurranq will attack you.
Maliketh, now Gurranq, eventually came into contact with D, Hunter of the Dead. D entered Gurranq's service and assisted him in weeding Deathroot, the source of Those Who Live in Death.
During the events of Elden Ring, you find Maliketh disguised as Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman of the Bestial Sanctum. As D reveals to you, Gurranq equips warriors with powerful incantations and weapons, so they can hunt Those Who Live in Death.
Iosefka's Clinic - If sent to Iosefka's Clinic, the Beggar can be found there as a Celestial Minion, apparently eating from the floor. Killing him here will grant the player the Beast Rune.
At some point, a fragment from the rune of death was stolen from Maliketh by Ranni, which is why Gurranq alludes to this as his 'sin'. The game has a running theme of dual identities, twins, second second name, second boss phase etc... YES, if you give all the deathroot to Gurranq, Maliketh's dialogue changes.
Slaying the Cleric Beast grants players the means to bypass the locked gate into the Cathedral Ward, which allows them to avoid dealing with Old Yharnam entirely, since it drops the Sword Hunter Badge, which itself unlocks the Chief Hunter Emblem at the Bath Messenger.
By finding all nine Deathroot in the game and giving it to Gurranq, he'll leave the sanctum behind and give you an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone as a final reward.
For each Deathroot given, the player will receive the following useful rewards in a fixed order: the Clawmark Seal, Bestial Sling, Bestial Vitality, Ash of War: Beast's Roar, Beast Claw, Stone of Gurranq, Beastclaw Greathammer, Gurranq's Beast Claw, and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
You can give him Deathroot in exchange for different goods. Be careful after giving him the 4th Deathroot, as Gurranq will become hostile. You'll need to deal a certain amount of damage to calm him down before being able to interact with him again.
Rewards. Guild Quests provide the player with EXP, Guild Coins and resources, including Food, Timber, Stone and Gold. Higher graded Quests yield better rewards, including Equipment Materials and Jewels.
He has become an enemy. If you want to complete his quest, you have no choice but to kill Blaidd. He drops the Royal Greatsword and his armour set, apart from the helmet (which you can find in Seluvis's Tower). You have now completed Blaidd's side quest.
After completing all of Wakako Okada's gigs in Westbrook, V is contacted once more by her so that she can thank them. Head over to the Stash in your apartment and collect the Byakko katana.
